Chicken Paprika
1 chicken (cut up), salt and pepper to taste
3 to 4 tablespoons of paprika
3 tablespoons of butter
3 large onions, sliced thin
1 cup of sour cream
In a large frying pan with a fitted cover, fry paprika in butter till
mixture darkens slightly, add onions and fry for a few minutes. Salt
and pepper chicken and add to onions, turning to coat chicken with the
paprika mixture.
Cover pan and cook chicken over very low heat for 35 to 40 minutes.
Remove cover, slowly add sour cream stirring in and cook till cream
is just warmed through. Do not boil.
Serves 4.
