Meat Loaf Recipes

Parmesan Meat Loaf

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/4 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
  • 1 cup cracker crumbs
  • 3/4 cup whole or evaporated milk
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
Combine first 8 ingredients and press into a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Turn out onto a shallow baking pan (one with sides). Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes. Spread top with the chili sauce and return to the oven. Bake an additional 15 minutes.
Serves 8.
